Pakistan has the fifth largest youth bulge in the world, with 60% of its population falling below the age of 30. The youth bulge can become resourceful depending on how the youth is employed in various economic activities. Our vision is to empower our youth through social entrepreneurship.

Jubilee Life Insurance University Challenge (JLIUC)

The Jubilee Life Insurance University Challenge is a collaborative effort between SEED Ventures and Jubilee Life Insurance, aimed at empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to excel in the insurance sector. Through mentorship sessions, workshops, competitions, and awards, participants will embark on a journey of discovery, learning, and innovation. JLIUC aims to transform the landscape of the insurance industry by curating an exciting and educational initiative designed exclusively for university students.

DELTA Acceleration Programme

The DELTA Acceleration Programme is exclusively designed for participants who were a part of DELTA Cycle 1 initiated in 2019 and DELTA Cycle 2 initiated in 2022. This unique acceleration program aims to address the specific challenges faced by our esteemed alumni concerning scalability and sustainability. Your participation in the DELTA Acceleration Programme will provide you with tailored solutions and support based on the insights gathered from this form. DELTA (Developing Entreprenuership, Leaderhip Tangible Acumen)

DELTA Youth Programme was an initiative by SEED in collaboration with the British Asian Trust where the aim was to handhold and grow the young entrepreneurs of Pakistan by providing them with all the necessary elements required for entrepreneurs to climb the stairs of success. DELTA aimed to create an enabling environment for women and young micro-entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds to grow their businesses without constraint, thereby increasing incomes and job opportunities for women and young people in urban areas of Pakistan.

SEEDS for Climate Change

Seeds for Climate Change (SFCC) was an initiative by SEED Ventures which was geared towards climate adaptation and mitigation, where the purpose of SFCC was to solemnly combat climate change through financing and scaling youth-led climate action in communities vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

2nd Life Pakistan

Unilever Pakistan and SEED Ventures teamed up to launch an innovative platform, ‘2nd Life’, which aimed at reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable practices in Pakistan. This programme offered a unique opportunity to propose solutions that will eventually have a positive impact on the environment. It was divided into 2 different segments: Acceleration and Research.

RISE (Raising Innovative Social Enterprises)

RISE (Raising Innovative Social Enterprises) was a programme developed by SEED Ventures and co-delivered with Cockpit Arts in collaboration with the Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture (IVS) with the support of the British Council Pakistan. RISE was initiated to identify creative social enterprises and visionaries in the creative industry, instilling them with business and entrepreneurial acumen. Designed as a training programme, RISE trained a total of 28 entrepreneurs.

STEP (The Social Technology Entrepreneurship Program)

The Social Technology Entrepreneurship Programme was launched in 2021 in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship and Youth Development Society (EYDS) and Philip Morris Pakistan Limited (PMPKL). The aim of the programme was to empower, train, mentor, and provide networking to startups leveraging technology to impact society and fuel business process innovation. Promising enterprises and entrepreneurs were connected to mentors within their industry to train and polish their skills in order to take the enterprises to the next level. Three most promising enterprises received USD 10,000 to further grow their ventures.

Pakistan100

Pakistan100 was a legacy leadership programme for young change-makers of Pakistan. The programme ran in partnership between Common Purpose, SEED Ventures, EYDS and sponsor, Martin Dow. In November 2020, the first-ever cohort of young individuals accepted the Pakistan100 challenge of being the generation that takes responsibility for Pakistan when it turns 100 years old, through developing its skills, abilities and network. With our patron’s guidance and contributions, we were able to reach our goal of producing culturally intelligent citizens. By the end of the programme, SEED handpicked a group of 50 dedicated ambassadors from Pakistan and the diaspora.

Impact Link Challenge

Impact Link formed part of the Scottish Government’s Internationalising Social Enterprise Strategy and Pakistan Engagement Strategy. Pakistan Impact Link was launched in December 2018 and was designed to build resilience, capacity and impact a small number of enterprises that were moving beyond the incubator stages of growth. Impact Link was delivered in Pakistan by SEED and Social Enterprise Academy Pakistan, led by SEA International CIC as an initiative of the Scottish Government.

Incubating Potential Programme (IPP)

The Incubating Potential Programme (IPP) was conceived by SEED Ventures and implemented in Korangi in collaboration with Karachi Youth Initiative. The project was conducted over a period of one year, and a four-and-a-half-month-long enterprise development course was designed primarily for Grass-Root Entrepreneurs (GREs). The focus was to impart principles of entrepreneurship, financial management, marketing, leadership, and personal development to the target audience.

Creating Safe Community Spaces

Creating Safe Community Spaces was implemented by SEED Ventures in collaboration with Karachi Youth Initiative (KYI), across the six districts of Karachi. This project was conceived to address the lack of community centres that provide a healthy and productive environment to the youth entrepreneurs of marginalised communities of Karachi. The ethos was to educate aspiring and existing entrepreneurs about economic possibilities and better business practices and to encourage discussion.

Rising Entrepreneur

Rising Entrepreneur was a tournament-style business plan competition for early-stage startups. It aimed to showcase early-stage or idea-stage start-ups. The competition was essentially a platform to bring investors, start-ups, mentors, and leading entrepreneurs together to work towards nurturing and growing the enterprises that took part in the competition.
